This type of activity is known as Practice. Please read the guidance notes here, where you will find useful information for running these types of activities with your students.
This is part of a Revision series of exercises I am working on. The idea is that students are asked to consider several related concepts – thus throwing them off autopilot – but in a way where only a limited amount is changing each time, to draw their attention to the critical features. It is kind of like an extended version of my SSDD problems. As with all these exercises, the role of the teacher is crucial, and suggestions for questions and prompts can be found here. And if you want to try your hand at writing a Revision exercise, or one of the other formats on this site, then please read more here.
