I wrote this as a revision exercise for my Year 11s a few weeks before their GCSEs. I gave them the prompt “facotrise, if possible”. I also had Desmos open and challenged my students to sketch each graph, which led to a nice discussion about the relationship between intercepts and those expressions that did not factorise.
